Does anyone know the fuel for smart cars?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

Gasoline, however they were at one time considering an electric version, and would be a good candidate for it.
except that electric cars are limited to 25 MPH by fed law.
with the exception of kit cars, (car that you have to put together yourself)
the smart car get 40 Mpg, and has a top speed of 90 MPH.
The smart fortwo is the only model scheduled for production for the USA in 2008. The pure coupe, passion coupe and passion cabriolet all come equipped with the 3-cylinder, 1-liter gasoline powered engine. Other engine types and sizes (including BRABUS) may become available in the next few years though no specific timeline has been outlined. The manufacturer has cancelled production of the smart forfour and roadster worldwide. jcms 75% 6 Votes
