first you need a 4 cycle engine. I can%26#039;t think of a way to do it with a 2 cycle. then you would have to ether make new cams with a bump on both sides, or you would have to put new gears on the crank shaft to make the cams open twice as often. then just put pressurized air in the gas intake ( remove all gasoline parts though {eg. carbourator} ) ether way it looks like you%26#039;d have to machine some metel.
good luck.
wait I thought of an idea :) put a flyweel on your engine, then put a read swich on the side of the engine and a small magnet on the flyweel then use a solonoid valve controled by the swich to regulate the airflow. then just put the air hose in the sparkplug hole.
that wouldn%26#039;t be that hard, and most small engines are 2 cycle (I think :o) 0% 0 Votes -
This is an internal-combustion engine. Applying compressed air to any orifice will cause the piston to go down and stay there. Engines designed to run on steam will also run on compressed air, and there are lots of plans for these. Bear in mind that you need some way to compress the air--like an engine-driven air compressor.
