-People can go on trash cleanups along roads or beaches.- Use more recyclable goods. Choose paper bags over plastic bags at the store.
- Do not dump chemicals or other items such as cellphones or batteries in the trash or in lakes, rivers, or the ocean- take them to the designated places where they can be properly disposed of.
- Mow lawns less or get more efficient lawn mowers.
- Drive more environmentally safe automobiles that pollute less and have better gas money.
- Recycling- less things will end up in the landfill. Plastic and glass take millions of years to even start to decompose.
- Governments can put restrictions on the amount of pollution that industries are allowed to emit.
