How could you make an Optibike street legal in Australia? Considering current laws for electric assist bicycles allow up to 200w motors and Optibikes start at 400w, how would you turn one into a %26quot;motorbike%26quot; eg adding indicators, stronger headlights. Or dare i say it how do you change legislation to allow greater wattage on electric assist bicycles. The current 200w bikes available seem to lack endurance/performance for hill climbs etc when a push bike alone commute would be virtually impossible?
