POSITIVE ACTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes
reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.
the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.
the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia
Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.
the protection of existing forrests.
stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.
education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion
Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks
,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour
alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine
recicling wastes,limit water use
here are a 100 more ways

One thing is not obvious, but it%26#039;s very important.
Educate yourself on global warming so that you can refute the silly arguments of the skeptics. Here%26#039;s are two excellent places to start, short and long:
http://www.globalwarmingart.com/wiki/Ima...
http://profend.com/global-warming/
If one of your friends says, %26quot;it%26#039;s the sun%26quot;, tell them about the data in the graph above. Point out that the sun is studied all the time and that the global warming scientists have considered it thoroughly and say it%26#039;s only a minor factor.
Become a source of knowledge about global warming and spread that knowledge. Fight the ignorance about this issue.
Here%26#039;s a good book to help you:

All we can do is try to reverse the pattern but emitting less CO2 into the atmosphere. If we continue our ways the CO2 levels in the atmosphere wil be roughly 10 times what they were in 1900. Here are some suggestions:
1: Ride a bike or walk when you can.
2:Ask your power company if they supply green energy. If they don%26#039;t, ask them why not.
3:Talk to your representatives about it and tell them to support legislation to reduce CO2 emissions.
4:If you can afford it, buy a hybrid car.
5:Plant trees. Lots of them.
6:Don%26#039;t waste electricity. Turn stuff off that you%26#039;re not using. My cluttered mind -
Go for a drive and pick up some McDonalds! ! !

I also love our Earth, but I don%26#039;t think global warming is so important.
1) We are not able to measure it precisely. May be it is much weaker, than we think.
2) If it%26#039;s as strong as the majority believe, we are very doubtful about it%26#039;s reasons. It can be caused by Sun activity changes for example. Don%26#039;t you know that Mars now also experiences global warming?
3) Even if we are the main reason, may be global warming is good, may be we are saving our beloved Earth from the next ice age. Don%26#039;t you know that CO2 concentration was continuously decreasing, during last several hundreds of millions of years (except the very last several millions of years). And now it is such low, that all plants are close to their survival limit. Think about Greenland, in what condition it is now, and why several hundreds of years before it was called by such name. There are some evidences, that ice ages begin, when CO2 concentration falls to a certain limit, most plants cannot bear that concentration, and due to this fact, lands not covered by ice undergo desertification. I would like to share some of my sources, but they are in Russian.
