Why aren%26#039;t there electric cars mass produced? O.k this is kind of rhetorical and kind of a question but feel free to answer or comment. Now as far as I know we have the technology NOW to create electric cars and have had the technology for a few years too. The reason we haven%26#039;t seen the magical solution for all our problems is because the damn oil companies payed so we couldn%26#039;t make them? If you ask me that%26#039;s plain stupid. In a time like this where we are killing ourselves nice and slowly who gives a **** about the law. It%26#039;s like having a bomb right in front of you that is slowly ticking away and you have the key to turn it off, but some rich guy bought the rights to turn it off so even though this bomb is going to destroy the world in time you can%26#039;t turn it off right then because someone payed not to? Money is an invention of people, it has no value whatsoever unless people give it value which we have. I say screw the law and make the cars. Give the oil companies their precious money back if you have to and create...

... damn electric cars NOW. The law is nothing, all it is is a few words in a book that say what we can and can%26#039;t do. The government has the power to do what they want so why out of all the decisions they need to make do they throw the easiest and smartest decision and solution out the window? One day a protest will happen because of this, it%26#039;s just another bomb waiting to blow except this one will destroy the government, not the world. What I mean is people will have enough when oil goes to $2.50 a liter in who knows how long, maybe even by 2012? Hurry up Canada, America, China, India the whole world, you have the key to stop it so why not for once do the right decision and stop global warming. If we start now in the next fifty years gasoline cars may be an antique type of car used in car shows. For once throw your law out the window and make the right decision.

I forgot to say. There are two other types of cars that we have the technology to create, water powered cars and hydrogen powered cars, both of which don%26#039;t create fossil fuels. See the links I posted above for info a on each type of car (electric, water, hydrogen).

Nice answer logan. I also posted the water and hydrogen cars in one of my details with videos describing them too so do you think you could evaluate those ideas to?

Ok water cars are possible as I saw one in real life. I haven%26#039;t seen a hydrogen powered car yet but it seems pretty real to me and electric cars are real there was a car by Saturn back in 95 that was discontinued. By the way when I asked this question I new that electric cars weren%26#039;t good for the miles but I meant why aren%26#039;t they mass produced for city people, not companies and people who go like 100km everyday to get to work which I think is plain stupid unless your living in a small town. I know I got all these videos from youtube but I saw other things in real life but I can%26#039;t really copy and paste those things can I? I tried to give as much proof as I could and youtube is the best I could give... To be honest I think that the only reason they aren%26#039;t mass produced is because the government, oil companies or anyone else for that madder knows that it will make many oil companies lose their jobs. Airplane companies and truck companies will still use gas but for everyday people...

electric cars are a very good solution. Here%26#039;s something for you to think about. For at least some or most of you, you usually have plenty of gas left at the end of the day right? So why do you need good miles anyway when you can recharge your car every single night? You basically have a fresh tank every day... For people who go a long way you will probably go for hybrids rather than full electric until we find a solution that goes far, fast and cheap. 38% 3 Votes

  • They just aren%26#039;t practical. They don%26#039;t have enough power. What happens when you need to drive out of town?

Now, cars that run on water... that would be something. I%26#039;m waiting for that one. 0% 0 Votes

  • There%26#039;s no such thing as water powered cars regardless of your delusions.

We%26#039;ve had the technology to create electric cars for a long time (in fact there was a time when electric cars were the market leaders) but electric car technology has been superseded by petrol and diesel which both happen to allow far longer ranges along with near-instant refuelling (as opposed to hours long recharging).
