Are manatees still endangered? and if they are,
are there any conflicts with other people (like fisherman) to make the other people not want the manatees to be labeled as endangered. or they dont want them to be protected at all.

• They are very endangered and almost all living manatees have wounds from boat propellers. They are protected legally but not very well. I believe eventually the may go extinct.

• i guess there is no species of any aquatic animals which is not endangered, all are endangered
  manatees are no exception
  they are hunted for their fat which is used in cosmetics i gues
  and in the fresh waer lakes they are quite safe
  but u see the other specie duguon which is salt water species its quiet endangered

  Nuclear power plants are a Manatees best friend!
