I%26#039;m actually looking for why we shouldn%26#039;t. I know there are several reasons for why we should, really, I do.I%26#039;m asking the question that is often unasked.

This is a very interesting question: Here is my answer.
there is only one reason when we should not save them. It is when we humans are near extinction. But there are a few reasons if humans are near extiction. One of them is that we have no more food because the food chain is destroyed since the animals are extinct, so survival on plants is not enough. So canibalism starts!! So we kill each other. And many die even more.
So, my conclusion is, we need them to survive. Sorry cannot help you with any answers. 0% 0 Votes -
The only time we should let it happen is if it%26#039;s happening naturally. But if it is something done at the hands of humans, then we should restore what we have destroyed.
As to Aaron%26#039;s reply, your answer makes no sense. If a farmer farmed a species to death then they would be destroying their own lively hood. Plus we don%26#039;t need to destroy animals to survive. That%26#039;s just lazy dramatic thinking. 0% 0 Votes -
No. We are all the poorer for every species that becomes extinct.

Nature needs nothing from man. Our flora and fauna can exist without man. These endangered species can survive without man. Without them, man is at loss.
So let these innocent creatures be! 20% 1 Vote -
Protecting endangered species is VERY important to me. Most of them are in pristine places or once was. These places are being bulldozed - Burnt off - polluted - cut down - radiated you name it. By protecting these species we are protecting ourselves.
God Help Us. We refuse to help ourselves

In my opinion, there is no legitimate reason for that. We are the ones responsible for making those species endangered, and we are the only ones that can undo our thoughtless actions. No matter how someone feels about a wolf, a crocodile, a shark or whatever, the truth is that is an apex predator. It makes me angry that people look down on these animals just because they kill. If they didn%26#039;t kill, they would have nothing to eat. They are carnivores and no know other way of survival - they can%26#039;t exactly turn vegetarian. In a world without these animals, the whole ecosystem would be disrupted, and in the very end we will have to pay the consequences of our actions.

you know that all humans these days are busy with wars and other stuff.
do you think that they care about protection of any endangered species.
they want to take care about them self%26#039;s.......
that%26#039;s it..!..!!!!!....?! 0% 0 Votes -
In my opinion, there is absolutely no reason why humans should not prevent the extinction of a specie. The human race has been given the opportunity, as a superior specie, to stand for the rest that can%26#039;t defend or protect themselves.
Justifying one%26#039;s inaction for the reason that if we were in trouble animals wouldn%26#039;t come to our rescue is selfish. Dogs %26amp; other animals have shown us that they can be helpful, even heroic at times. They don%26#039;t think about whether it benefits them, they just do. And let%26#039;s face it, most endangered species wouldn%26#039;t even be on that list if it weren%26#039;t for humans.
Mankind may have problems of its own, but that shouldn%26#039;t stop us from being compassionate and understanding. Wars and crimes happen because of the lack of these two. We all share this planet and we have a responsibility to help it along, endangered species included. 0% 0 Votes -
Ever heard of Charles Darwin? Survival of the fittest. If we (humans) were endangered, what species would help us out?
