Better to put computer into standby? does standing by consume a lot of energy? its a heck a lot easier than turning off and on and off again....i ahve a low mem computer and i hate turning it on.......

It%26#039;s better just to turn it off if it%26#039;s a low mem computer, than to leave it on standby. Standby does use energy in my experience. 0% 0 Votes

turning the computer off is better than stand by. but stand by is better than having it on a screen saver....so at least turn it off, or put it on stand by at the least 0% 0 Votes

A good example is my computer that uses 195 watts when running and 4 watts when in standby and when you include the monitor that brings it up to 16 watts when on standby. 0% 0 Votes
