Can we use methane gas for fuel?

it%26#039;s already been done natural gas (methane) from landfills is commonly sold to gas utilities to provide fuel for your furnace in the wintertime. Methane can also be used as a fuel in cars but it%26#039;s a poor fuel as far as internal combution engines go, but it can been used as a source of hydrogen for hydrogen fuel cell automobiles.

• Fuel for what? We already use methane gas as a fuel source, to generate electricity, and to provide heat is some cases.
  
  It is currently not being used to fuel vehicles as far as I am aware.
