Don%26#039;t get carried away for one year. Remember that clothing can be layered. Two light layers trap air between them and are warmer than a single thick layer. You will need something water-resistant as an outer garment; sweaters and sweatshorts can be layered underneath. What many people forget is headgear. Not only will you want something to keep your head dry and warm, you will need protection from the sun, which is less filtered by the atmosphere. when you are in the mountains. Aside from warmer footgear, you probably already have what you need, unless you normally live in a nudist colony.

%26quot;In the mountains%26quot; is very ambiguous. Will you be spending a lot of time in the wilderness. How cold does it get where you%26#039;re going?
But basics-
1) you%26#039;ll need rain boots and winter boots, high-quality ones that are at least waterproff and preferably padded with something fuzzy and nice traction on the soles.
2) along with this, warm socks. get some slipper-socks for indoors, and thick long socks for wearing with boots
3) if you wanna be stylish, an ugg-type boot is great
4) COAT- get a wool one for every day use with jeans and nice clothes, and ALSO a good quality ski jacket with a hood and LOTS of padding, or several layers, for outdoors. wool won%26#039;t do for long outdoor periods
5) hat, gloves, scarf. get a few warm caps that cover your whole head, and a %26quot;headband%26quot; for your ears. get regular gloves and also ones that are good with moisture (snow gloves) get a few warm scarves
6) umbrella and rain-proof spring/fall jacket
7) hoodies and sweatpants
8) long johns for under jeans, and thermal shirts
9) under armour if you%26#039;re athletic
10) fleeces- one or tw good-quality ones from north face or similar company. unnecessary if you have good enough coats and hoodies, but very stylish
good luck!
