We have freezing winters here so I cant dry outside but want to conserve on my energy usage and thought this was one way I could, with two babies who will be in cloth diapers and a toddler I run alot of loads next how do I do this what do I need, concerns? I have a newer dehumidifier which meets energy star guidelines should I run that on low? thank you all in advance

My parents have a clothes line in their basement.
Your basement needs to be relatively clean and about the same temperature as your home (or warmer) if you want to dry clothes in it.
It will take longer to dry them then if they were hung outside in summer sunshine, but its an energy saver, as opposed to constantly running a dryer. 75% 3 Votes

  • During the winter your house is naturally dry(er) and your clothes will dry and add needed moisture also. I wouldn%26#039;t run the dehumidifier unless you think your house is too humid. 25% 1 Vote
