Do the automatic flush toilets in many public places waste a lot of water? When they first came out, I thought the toilets that flush once you stand up were a pretty good idea, since it made it unnecessary to touch a germy handle, and also dealt with the problem of people who just don%26#039;t flush at all. But now, with renewed interest in the environment and reduucing water waste, these toilets really bother me. Not only do they often flush because of some random movement you make before you%26#039;re done or even sit down, they also seem to use a TON of water. Am I wrong?

NOTE: Not urinals. Wouldn%26#039;t know anything about that myself. Just the toilets that I use in public women%26#039;s rooms. Usually it%26#039;s in places like hospitals, movie theaters, bus %26amp; train stations, etc.

Yes, I believe they are a big waste of water! At first, I thought %26quot;wow...%26quot; but now, they can be rigged to flush every 3 minutes! And all that electricity used to flush %26amp; refill? It%26#039;s just a big waste of energy %26amp; water. 50% 3 Votes
