The Guanaco is a wild species. You can%26#039;t raise in a farm. Though, there are some %26quot;guanaco farms%26quot; in Patagonia, meaning that they have large extensions of land where guanacos live, which is different.

There are MANY guanacos in Argentina and some less in Chile. But they are different races. The Peruvian Guanaco is about to become extinct. I found this news today in our local paper and it made me really sad. Here is the link:
