• No. These two are like fire and water, they cant coexist, unless we find a way to curb people%26#039;s way of thinking. Environmental conservation needs EVERYONE to play a part, and unfortunately, not everyone%26#039;s interested in saving the world. They just want to travel with convenience, and thus the extensive problem of cleanliness in many places. Of course, in the future, if people are educated, it is possible for tourism and environmental conservation to coexist. No matter how much environmentalists advocate their beliefs, people will just say OK, but they won%26#039;t really do anything about it. 0% 0 Votes
• No it isn%26#039;t possible. Caves are a good example. No matter how much care is taken, the environment ends up drastically altered. The presence of light leads to the growth of types of plant and animal life unknown to the normal environment of the cave. Damage to delicate rock structures is inevitable. Graffiti happens regardless of steps against it. Just simple repetitive touching does damage over time. Caves in the USA have been re-evaluated, and many closed to tourism and allowed to revert to their natural state. Normally, scholars doing legitimate research are admitted with special permission.
  
  The same things will be true of any environmentally sensitive areas. The Park Service has drastically reduced and limited public access to much of the major parks, such as Yellowstone, Yosemite, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Grand Canyon. 20% 1 Vote

• It would depend on the environment, I would say no to whale watching and diving on reefs but yes to land based conservation. Whale watching can be very damaging to breeding populations and although diving on reefs can be fine for experienced divers inexperienced ones can cause major problems. 20% 1 Vote
• i don%26#039;t think so, unfortunately no matter what you try to save and educate people, there%26#039;s always that someone how just don%26#039;t care or don%26#039;t think that his deeds effect the environment

• Yes we have the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone Natural Forest still entacted with the enviorment, all we have to do is maintain the areas were tourists visit. This is why we have such things as PRIDE. 0% 0 Votes
