This is right to the point regarding this issue. Living close to the region of these polar bears and the environment one sees first hand the effects. Thank you . I would like to thank everyone else also for their answers.

  • Why? As much new snow and ice that has formed in the artic this year alone? turn off mtv, and cnn, and educate your self.
  • Yes, more so than some stupid tree frog, etc.
  • The last I heard their population was large and not falling. So no, they are not endangered.
  • Only one species of polar bear is on the decline. Some are actually getting bigger and most are stable. So...no.
  • I would say yes, because i read an article about it. The thing is, unlike pandas, not many people are doing anything to help.
  • Yes. The ice in the Arctic is melting away the home of polar bears. People also hunt them down for their skin.
  • Yes, it is a mammal and born cute, therefor it needs to be preserved. More genetically diverse creatures, that aren%26#039;t as cuddly should be ground up and fed to the polar bear.
  • They already are.
  • yes,its a pleasing animal to see %26amp; so it should not become extinct
  • They are already endangered species.

I heard reports that since the ice caps are slowly melting, polar bears tend to have less %26quot;land%26quot; to walk on. This means that water becomes %26quot;wider%26quot; since distance between %26quot;ice lands%26quot; will be greater. Therefore polar bears have drowned due to lack of land to rest on.
