Jenniebee stated %26quot;why don%26#039;t we just drink water out of the tap? like its perfectly fine water if you buy filters and stuff for your water.
the bottles are pointless, a waste of money, and horrible for the environment. most water in water bottles come from the same water we can get out of our tap. except we%26#039;re paying much more for it.%26quot;
I disagree that bottled water is the same as tap water. The tap water in our city is rancid, and every three months when we receive our bill it contains a warning statement that may be hazardous to our health. I drink bottled water exclusively. If you don%26#039;t think there is a difference, then open a bottle and also fill an empty with tap water. Put both on your end table for a few days and see which one tastes better. The tap water will be undrinkable. The bottled water will taste as if you freshly opened it. I do recommend that everyone recycle, but from what I have heard is some waste management services find it cheaper to simply mix the recyclables with the garbage. Does anyone know if there are regulations on this, either local, state, or federal?? 0% 0 Votes -
Personally I save my empty water bottles for trips so I can pee in them when I%26#039;m stuck in traffic.
You could say I am %26quot;refilling%26quot; the bottle with the same water that came in it........
Other wise I have to cross my legs and you know how hard it is to drive that way. I just empty them in the rest area toilet not in the ditch like truckers do! For some reason guys find this approach easier than the other species of humans?
Hey, just trying to find a use for the plastic stuff! :)
P.S. just like %26quot;don%26#039;t eat the yellow snow%26quot; don%26#039;t drink the lemonade!!!!!!!!!!! 0% 0 Votes -
water bottles are PETE Polyethylene terephthalate, although i rarely have any to discard or recycle, if i did discard it in the trash i would expect that it would end up in a land fill and very slowly degrade over the centuries. If i recycle it, although it can fairly easily be recycled the supply of recycled plastic often exceeds the demand so it ends up in the land fill anyway; the cost and energy content of new plastic can be less than recycled plastic and the new quality is better so better to just put it in the trash in the first place and save the energy needed to process it before it is discarded.

if you dump plastic bottles it will caused clogging to the public sewer pipes or storm drains thatcan lead to flooding in streets etc. since plastics are non-bioderadable products. When you recycle plastic bottles the company can save energy, and production of more plastic bottles, the company therfore can save money, and since there is less production of plastic bottles ther will be less harvesting of the raw materials for just a single plastic bottle which means that you can help to reduce or stop the destruction of the environment. But actually you can help more if you can just have a single container for water needs instead of buying water bottles.
my own knowledge-anyway it%26#039;s just a common sense of tracing the production of such materials/
