This isnt much of a question, I know, but I figure this area of Yahoo questions has plenty of people who really care about the environment. I%26#039;ve traveled to Puerto Rico and Argentina under the Earthwatch Program, and Ive experienced a lot of environmental mauling to be honest. I wanted to know however if you guys would be willing to help- I met a small group of people who live way into the forest in PR, and they need help funding their sustainable forestry research. If you could give their website a glance: http://www.eyeontherainforest.org/puerto...you%26#039;ll see some of the best made woodwork from the absolute best wood, Blue Mahoe. It literally directly funds the conservation of the forest, so if you%26#039;re looking for a way that actually helps the environment this is it. Help us out, please? =)
Thanks guys, and happy trails.
Addition: To the first poster, that has nothing to do with this project. These people take the trees that have already fallen so that the forest can regrow.

working with the native peoples on a sustainable industry is the way to go stripping the land of its forests for a few years of agriculture is the problem many times the cut trees are just burned by select cutting the trees you are maintaining a viable environment

The only true Forest Conservationists are conservative minded Foresters who earn their living from the forest; not so called %26quot;eco-friendly%26quot; preservationists who are really only true hypocrites. If we preserved everything in nature we would be buck naked and starved to death. GO FOREST INDUSTRY...
