Keep your tire pressure at the recommended amount. Drive 55 on the freeways even if you feel like doing 65. Change your air filter and fuel filter when recommended instead of when its clogged. Buy a more fuel efficient car. Walk or bike for your short-trip errands.

Drive the speed limit, like there is a glass of water on your dash, the amount you save will amaze you.

All of the above plus...
Don%26#039;t let your tank get empty, fill up when it is half empty--The amount of fuel lost though evaporation is HUGE. Refineries have floating lids on their storage tanks to limit the amount of space available for evaporation.
I calculated my mileage and my car got 24mpg when I filled up at half way and only 17 when I waited until it was near empty! 20% 1 Vote -
