Great crested newts? If someone had great crested newts in thier garden pond, and told the conservation people,what if anything would the conservation people do? This is a question from England.

yes they are protected, you could get a protection order on the pond. if anyone wanted to build or otherwise disturb the pond, they might get away with it if they were to dig another one, put all weed in etc, let it settle and transfer the newts. the archers! (i knew that anyway lol! ) 60% 3 Votes

• Ido believe these have a conservation order on them ,So please imform the right people ,Iknow near where i live there was building going on near a pond ,Where a cested newt was spotted all building had to stop until the newt could be moved safely .So this newt maybe moved to saftey , 40% 2 Votes
