How can I get green power for my home? I cannot afford solar panels, I am looking to switch to a green power company. Is it true that if I ask for green power my power company has to offer it?

I live in maine and my power company is CMP.

I tried looking for the same thing a while ago without much luck. However, there is an alternative:

Companies are emerging that will allow you to lease solar panels for your house. They determine the cost by taking the average of what you normally would pay to an electric company.

Just Google %26quot;rent solar panel%26quot; and you can take a look among several companies that lease solar panels.
