When it is cool in the mornings open all windows, then for when the afternoon heat comes, open a window (or make an opening) in the top of the house to let out hot air, and close windows on the ground floor, but allow cool air from the basement to rise up into the house. Covering the windows will also keep the hot air and sunlight from entering during the hot part of the day.
Planting trees around the house will help cool it, and if your house can be covered in ivy -- that acts as a natural insulation. 0% 0 Votes
