First, decide what sort of law you think would be beneficial. Then, go to your municipality and talk to the director of code enforcement. He or she might be able to do a search for neighboring (or distant) municipalities that have similar legislation. Pick and chose the best parts from each. Then talk to your representative on the municipal government about polishing the legislation and getting it passed.

If your municipality has an environmental advisory group, you might start attending meetings. Guests should be welcome. 67% 2 Votes

  • Post writer Adrian Higgins exudes the fumes of global warming hysteria: %26quot;Carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere have increased by a third since the start of the industrial revolution, due mostly to the burning of coal and other fossil fuels, and that buildup has been linked to global warming.%26quot;

    Think about this for a minute. The industrial revolution revved up around 1850 or so, and with all the population growth and industrial production over the last 158 years, carbon dioxide has increased by only a third? He does not mention that this constitutes only a microscopic percentage of the entire atmosphere encircling the earth.

    Could this mean that people are not really a threat to the planet after all? That we can get on with planting trees because ... they%26#039;re pretty? 33% 1 Vote
  • personally i think there should be a law that all high school students should be required to take an environmental science course. we need to educate the public about the problems our world faces and what we can do to fix them 0% 0 Votes
