How do conservation plowing contribute to soil conservation?
Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
spike plough only disturbs the top few inches of the soil allowing water to penetrate into the soil, leaves the organic roots of plants intact to hang onto the soil to prevent wind erosion, also helps organic material to stay in soil to maintain its richness.Anyway you look at it soil conservation is important better to have the soil on the fields instead of washed into the water ways or blowing of the fields to areas were it will do no good

conservation ploughing...such as ploughing along the contours of a slope reduces the amount of soil lost by runoff over the surface by allowing the water to infiltrate into the soil rather than run over the top...
