How do i get rid of rats that is already trapped? last night a huge rat is already trapped in the trap. what should i do? or usually people do to kill it. im planning to pour it with hot boiling water to kill it. Oh yeah.. i hate rats n im freaked out by it.

• use a sharp stick to kill it, than feed it to your cat or dog, recycling is important.
• Call your local animal control. They will probably kill it too, but then you do not have to do it I suppose.
  Boiling water is pretty cruel. If you are going to kill it make it fast. Next time if you plan on killing it anyways don%26#039;t use a %26quot;humane%26quot; trap.
  Or you could toss it in the trunk and drive out to the country and let it free.
• Well, I would never have used a live capture trap in the first place so I would not have this problem. Since you do, however, I would suggest you shoot it with a pellet rifle. If that is not an option, put the entire trap in a plastic bag, add baking soda and vinegar, seal the bag up and gas the little bugger.
