Wow, you environmentalist are all the same. Scary. You are right everyone else is wrong, no arguments allowed and it is all based on your feelings. Their have been other people in history who have acted this way. They are normally referred to as dictators. I am curious as to why you think it is so bad?. Most logging companies do as much as they possibly can to replant after cutting. In many states, it is law. Do you understand that this is a renewable energy source? They will grow back. Why not protest all of the corn and wheat that is harvested every year? They are plants that absorb carbon after all? If you really want to do something to stop deforestation, stop mowing your lawn and urge your neighbors to do the same so that it turns back into the forest it once was. If everyone in America were to do this you wouldn%26#039;t have to worry so much about logging because much of our land would still be covered with trees. We need those nice big lawns though because they are so pretty and they up the value of our homes. What to do, what to do!!!

Write letters to your state and federal representatives. Attend city hall meetings and state your concerns. Write a letter to the editor of your newspaper. Contact environmental impact groups in your area and become active. If you can get enough like minded people together, form an activist coalition for your cause. Remember, just because they listen doesn%26#039;t mean they will agree.

The more people, the better. I support you, let me know what happens. Maybe I%26#039;ll join
Can you live in a clearcut area? Sure... but deforesters wouldn%26#039;t be there. They would be in an area where trees are still around

Gather people who agree with you. Then start making signs and gathering support. Soon enough, you should be getting lots of recognition.

What country?
If you are in the U.S.A. the land being logged (even clearcut) is more than likely privately owned. The forest was also more than likely planted by the company that owns the land 20-30 years ago.
Would you pitch a tent and try to stop a farmer from harvesting his corn? It would be EXACTLY the same thing, as trying to stop a farmer. The only difference is that a farmer can grow his crop in 90-120 days. A lumber company must wait between 8-30 years to harvest their crop.
