How many kwh does your household use per day? My bill has a chart that shows average KWH per day, and average cost per day. My current month%26#039;s average is 39 kwh per day, which means I%26#039;m paying $4.10 per day.

Is this more or less energy usage than your bills?

About a week before I got this bill (my first bill, I just got out on my own), I installed CFL lightbulbs. Even when I used the incandescents, I didn%26#039;t turn on the lights until it got dark outside...and even then, only one light would be on from 8 pm until around 1 am (kitchen/living room light). Then if we had to go into another room, we%26#039;d turn the light on when necessary, and off when we left the room.

I%26#039;m obviously trying hard to save energy/money and am wondering what my results are compared to other people. I%26#039;m going to try to find other ways to lower my power bill even further, but I hope that I%26#039;m doing a good job already.

So if your bill has this kind of information on it, please share your stats! It would be interesting to see. Thanks. =)

I just found out that my *new* average from the last approx. 2 weeks is 24 kwh per day...which is costing $2.52.

I%26#039;m pretty sure my biggest drains are my fridge, washer/dryer, stove, computer, and electric phone. I%26#039;ve begun unplugging my computer %26amp; phone from the wall every night for the past few days, think that%26#039;ll make a difference?

93 kwh per day @ 7.76 for this past month (it was cold). . .That is for a huge family home with three people (one elderly), two kitchens, four living rooms, etc. . . Plus the electricity for the rest of the outbuildings for the farm (raise many exotic and organic animals). . . We recycle, go green all over the place, and still live great. . . Not bad for as much electricity we require to keep my grandmother and animals taken care of. . . I still can%26#039;t wait to put in a few wind generators out in the fields (Then the electric company will have to send me a check, lol:) 100% 2 Votes
