How to Save a tree from MG%26amp;E blade? There is a tree in my front yard which i love very much. I really really don%26#039;t want them to cut it down. (i would def. be a person who went green. I hate when people cut down any tree)

They want to cut it down because it%26#039;s getting to close to the power lines. i understand the danger of this but...

is there any way -other the hugging the tree and refusing to let go- to make these guys back off?

What sort of tree, how tall and how old? In the UK you can get tree preservation orders, depending on the tree. You could get out there first and chop the top off, or as far up as will give it some years before it becomes a problem again, and so that it will grow back in a aestheticly pleasing fashion.
