If you are in the uk, there are wolves in Bucklebury, Berkshire, they let you walk them etc.

  • learn to make friends with them
sit on the edge of their territory
let them get used to you and see that you are no threat
put urine around your encampment to show them where you are and that your invasion is limited.

give them some food now and again and they will become friends with you

Wolves are very curious ,I once was followed for 3 days ,Hiking in the mountains,by one wolf ,in the end he ended up standing 8 meters away from me .
the approach was his not mine.

so imagine what you can achieve in a month .

I did not know there were courses for stuff like this
And I don`t know how kosher this is as regards to
    political correctness about animal exploitation.

Most animals you can make friends with given the circumstances and opportunity.

I once made friends with a lion, whilst working with them in a safari Park

and with a horse when i was a little kid ,it came running up to the fence when ever i showed up

And quite a few times with a butcher bird in several gardens i made ,used to hang worms on my spade and they came to eat them.really weird.

    oops

  • The best way to become a wolf handler is to volunteer at a zoo or wolf sanctuary or do an internship at someplace like Wolf Park (where I work). You have to learn canine behavior and the only way to do that is to be around them and observe what they%26#039;re up to. There is no course. They don%26#039;t teach you wolf handling in any college (well, maybe Moorpark- the school for zookeepers, you could check into that). It%26#039;s more like an apprenticeship. Good luck. It%26#039;s fun but there aren%26#039;t many job openings (somewhere less than a dozen full time, employed wolf handlers- I counted one time) 33% 2 Votes
