I think there%26#039;s a mouse/rat trapped in a drain in my patio...?
I would like to make it go away, because I won%26#039;t kill it. Is there something that scares rodents away in a humane way?

you probably , like me don%26#039;t like cats. That%26#039;s why you have rats. I got %26#039;em too but not concerned with humane treatment when it comes to rats. If you just take away its food source they usually move. If that%26#039;s not possible take a look at it and as long as it is a healthy looking rat name it Bob and greet it when you see it or where does the drain empty to? If in a storm drain or elsewhere in the yard just insert a hose and send him on a whitewater trip then insert 1/4 inch hardware screen in the pipe to keep it out and he%26#039;ll find a new home. Nothing really wrong with an occasional healthy rat just do not leave pet or child%26#039;s food out to encourage them.

if it is trapped than it will die ,if the drain cover is getting pushed off then replace it if the rodent is in the drain and it comes out the cover will be off.Replace the cover the rodent cannot lift the drain cover off to get into the drain.To repel the rodent from the drain mix in a blender 1/2 onion,5 garlic cloves and 3 tsp of cayenne pepper and pour the mixture into 1 gal bucket stir it all together and pour into the drain if its in there it will come out if nothing comes out then screw the drain cover on the drain the solution is non toxic and will not harm the waste water system but will act as a deterrent for the rodent to reenter the drain

Borrow a cat and put it near your drain. Return it when the rat goes away.

cats usually do the scare trick and it will scurry away.
but f you have a runnign drain will die from exposure.

sonor divice. it is this divice that makes a irritating noise and only the mice can hear it!!!!!!! ask about one at home depot, sears.... and any other home impruvment store.
