If your talking professionally, civil and environmental engineering are the way to go. For a BS you will have to take courses to learn municipal wastewater treament and can take environmental chemistry electives. Or you could do env. Chem or Env Science but Env Engr is more in depth IMHO.If you go for a MS you can get speciallized course work and probably due research as part of your thesis.
If your talking as a hobby, check out the library and especially a college library if you live close to one. Anyone can go in a State college%26#039;s library. My career 75% 3 Votes
