Information on bioreserves, natonal parks focusing on the policy of conservation of endangered species?
I talk about Yellow stone ,in the first answer on trees and wild animals with the wolves .

They have had to reintroduce predators because their absence was having a drastic effect on the forests and many other species of animals ,not only the ones that is their prey.

and a bit further down in white is a quote from my brother
who owns a few safari lodges in South Africa and Zambia.
in the question about eco tourism.

quote--
it cost about R5 million (rands) to get the concession for Tinga (the game reserve) and that money went straight back to the National Parks Board. They then pay 10% of all profits to the National Parks Board. So it is a good income stream for them. On top of that they run training programs for locals in all sorts of things, including game rangering, tracking etc.

They are also very strict in environmental damage etc, No trees are allowed to be cut, not even dead wood removed for fires etc,no off road driving except for leopard or lion tracking, and then they have to repair any damage done So the whole concept is very environmentally friendly.--

end quote

in order for the concept to work whereby all benefit ,one has to include the local people ,who before survived by hunting ,with projects that directly benefit them ,
as an alternative to hunting

Or find solutions for locals , who loose domestic animals because of predators that leave their alloted boundaries. 75% 3 Votes
