Is anyone else disturbed by the rate at which wooded areas are being destroyed for development purposes? It%26#039;s been happening at an alarming rate in the area I live in. Even the small city I live in. We used to have woods all around us and now they are disappearing because of all the housing and some business developments. I realize that much of this land is private owned and it%26#039;s up to the owner(s) as to what they want to use it for and/or sell it to, but once these natural land areas are gone, it seems they%26#039;re gone for good. Then, the people who move out to get away from it all start complaining about the deer munching on their lawn and ornamentals. The area ends up being just like where they moved from, anyway.
The natural beauty is gone. Sometimes I feel like I%26#039;m the only one who cares about this or even thinks about it.
Why can%26#039;t local and state governments buy up some land and turn it into nature areas and preserves for wildlife and also for people to enjoy?
If I ever win the lottery, I will buy up some land for this purpose.

If we want to save ourselves as a specie ,we have to address
the problems

Apparently we can correct most of the destructive factors
with disciplines ,changes of attitude and habits.

All species are in Danger eventually,

and each is important because all of Life on this planet is interrelated even if it is not obvious

Imagine that the Eco system is a wall and each specie is represented by a brick

Every brick taken out weakens the wall ,and eventually it will collapse ,which brick is the most important ???
they are all important and we are one of the bricks
