Is it a good idea to clone animals that are endangered species? Why or why not?
Do you hope that they would be fertile?

sure it is a great idea but the problem is all the clones are from the same genetic make up and you would not be able to breed any of the stock(be like mating with yourself)also the cloning has not been that perfected yet.Better of artificially inseminating females with semen from males and track who is who%26#039;s parental line, and the collection and freezing of eggs and semen from wild or zoo stock around the world to confirm genetic diversity

Cloning may be a good idea for a last hope thing, like if all animals in the wild have died out. But it is not a great way to protect endangered animals. The real solution is to figure out why they are endangered (usually habitat degredation) and figure out how to fix that. But another problem with cloning animals is that it greatly decreases the gene pool, causing the animal population to not have as much of an ability to adapt through natural selection.

my opinion
i don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s a good idea because when they%26#039;re endangered, it%26#039;s something to do with their habits
even if you clone it, they%26#039;ll still going to have the same habits meaning they%26#039;re still going to be endangered like before
i think that they should be reproduced in another way so that their habits will be a bit different to before so they can last longer in the world
