Is there a way to make grey water suitable for use on the lawn?

WHY sure it is a good thought but even filtering it you are going to encourage flies and other critters to your lawn let the lawn go through its natural dormant stage and it will green up when the rains come. What prestige is it people have with there lawns. And don%26#039;t forget about the nitrates leaching into the ground water and that type of water pollution into the environment.Let it go down the drain to be treated buy the sewage plant or into the septic/field bed to be treated naturally

Put a fence around the part of lawn you use it on so kids don%26#039;t go rolling around on it and it should be fine.
Throw the dishwater out the front door every day.

Just filter out the %26quot;big%26quot; pieces (which would eventually break down and feed the lawn anyway).
