• Deforestation comes from people who believe that the forest would be better served as cropland. Usually most destructive happens in rainforest...unfortunatly.
• The leading cause of deforestation is increased population.Rain forests are being reduced because governments are not enforcing laws to prevent cutting.With no control the population is trying to increase land for food production and in many cases land which doesn%26#039;t grow food that well. All the deforestation in the USA has come from the increase in population from the first settlers to today.
