Is that why the town Duck pond is empty? About 7,000 gallons. Even a drip can lose 120 gal. a month.

None. The water went down the drain to either your septic system or the sewage treatment plant and it%26#039;ll rejoin all it%26#039;s water friends somewhere else in the water cycle. He wasted the time and energy it took to make it usable (if in a city water system), to pump it to his bathroom, and a whole lot of money if you%26#039;re on a meter.

Normal water flow in a household plumbing system is around 1 to 2 gallons a minute.
Let%26#039;s see:
16 hours times 60 minutes per hour times 2 gallons per minute is about 2,000 gallons.
Could have been worse.
It could have been the hot water. 17% 1 Vote -

Not enough info to give an answer. It depends on the size of the faucet and the water pressure in the line.
