This is overly simplistic I know - sometimes in the 3 months we don%26#039;t get continuous rainfall we do have water restictions for watering our lawns.
Should I feel guilty that I leave the water running while brushing my teeth and sometimes I take 3 showers a day?
How will denying myself a 5 minute shower where water is plentiful, recyclable and going into the ocean impacting the environment?

Feel guilty only if you want to. I don%26#039;t know about Vancouvers water (Canada I%26#039;m guessing, not WA), but after pumping and filtering the water the watermost places lace their water with chlorine which is bad for your skin and hair and nervous system and the ozone layer. Then it has to be disposed of at the waste water plant where more energy is used before its discharged into the ocean. 50% 3 VotesOther Answers (5)

By using water, you are using resources that are used to fuel water treatment plants and other services. These include fossil fuels, ect.
