STUPID FARMER has a question for everyone worried about conservation? why do the american people think that the american farmer is responsible to financialy support all wildlife and persever there habitat wildlife eat our crops we take the hit financialy those of you who like to see the wildlife what are you paying for this but yet not only do you want us the american farmer to pay for this out of our pockets you expect us to grow cheap food i am not venting frustrations i would just like to know how many of you out there would be willing to come off some cash to help with rembursing the farmer for his lose don%26#039;t even start with goverment subsidties fact only 2% of the farm budget is spent on this the rest is spent on programs like wic and food stamps

How are farmers %26#039;responsible%26#039; for ANY wildlife? It%26#039;s your land and your crops. If deer are invading and eating your crops, SHOOT THEM! Hunters are the most ecologically responsible people out there. They DO put their money where their mouths are because they realize what it takes to keep game available.

Farming is a business like any other, John. there%26#039;s a cost to doing business, and they all don%26#039;t have to make sense.

Even so, I didn%26#039;t see Willy Nelson get together to help my community when the federal government shut down most forms of commercial fishing in New England. Farmers have it pretty good compared to some people. No one ever offered to pay me not to fish when I had 3 boats and 15 guys to support... plus, you guys get low-cost loans and have the option of selling out to conglomerates.

I understand you%26#039;re frustrated by all the BS, but really, it could be a lot worse. Even so, I know what you%26#039;re going through. I gave away my business because of the BS back in the 90%26#039;s.

Hey there. Wow, that%26#039;s a crappy situation. We need both our wildlife AND the produce you provide for us. They only thing you can do is raise the price of your crops, and the only thing we can do is pay it, because we need them. I%26#039;d be willing to pay extra for my vegetables in order to compensate for your loss.

check out ur local farm extension....we used CRP to pay to fence some areas,put in a new well and build new water troughs...but really we call deer field rats..the eat a lot...but we eat them..ha ha
