  • A four day week would allow people more time to spend with their families and the savings in gas could be channeled by the public to go towards parks, local amusement events, farmer%26#039;s markets, etc.

however I agree that this above view is very hard to convince people of. I think that it is more realistic for people to work on ride sharing so that they feel like they can drive around, but they do it for less by partnering to work with a coworker. The left over money can be used for things that they need or want rather than getting pumped into their gas tank at 4.65 a gallon.
  • my husband work 4 days on and 4 days off then 4 nights on and so on...he does 12 hour shifts. it cost him slightly less to get to work and we dont always use a vehicle on his days off, we tend to walk to town and the super stores and any where local we go to, these journeys average out being around 2 miles there and the same back
  • Well, I think if people went to a four day work week they would have to work more hours and earn higher wages because think about it, that%26#039;s a whole 8 hours you%26#039;re not being paid for that you really need in this day and age. Those people need to get a clue.
  • 4 days in an SUV or 5 days in a hybrid?

The 5 in a hybrid comsumes less gas.

Maybe its not hos often you drive, but what you%26#039;re driving.
  • that would be awsome becuase that would save gas but then the people would stay home and use a bunch of electisity

    SAVE THE WHALES
  • I know people who work 4 days instead of 5, they love it. In fact, my dad works 4 days (10 hours each). He loves having a 3-day weekend every weekend. And, it does save on gas.
  • Never work. The biggest reason being you won%26#039;t get as much production out of people. They%26#039;ll still be in that 8hr mode and will likely slack off.
  • i think your lazy, you must be a environmentalist
  • I think its great i would love that!! i wish my hubby%26#039;s job can start doing that, cause yesterday i pumped gas for 4.57 a gallon :(
  • i would love that!!
  • i wud luv to hav 3 days off, its still less thn the amount of working days but is more fair
