Do you mean shooting?? It is illegal in the US to hurt, harm, harass, or kill ANY native wild bird (unless it is a game bird during hunting season for that species with the proper licenses and limits). All birds are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Which grouse species are they decimating? Most endangered birds are endangered due to habitat loss which is caused by HUMANS, not other birds.

i had to type it in a rush. i am in no way involved with such activities - i am am animal rights advocate! its just that some issues are less than black and white; i agree the grouse should be protected. i am pleased you do not digress like the other poster into personal assaults.
