.Animals are sacred in India. However you could google; why are the rats sharing my dinner or why are the animals eating my newly constructed toilet thatch. I think they need to rethink the wildlife and domestic animal protection in India.
Less than one-third of Indians have access to sanitation, so one would think the answer to your question is who cares!

Well there are a few international organisations. A few of them are:
1. PETA (People for Ethical Treatment to Animals)
2. WWF (World Wildlife Fund)
3. PFA (People For Animals) - this is run by Mrs Menaka Gandhi.
