mean high water mark,walk below it,still have problems : go to zoning dept at local town hall,check property map. 9x out of 10,property owner is full of SH!T. I went through this a dozen times. Only one was right. Long Island NY

  ,Prudence is often the best policy
  People can be dangerous ,
  when armed and at home.
  And they usually are very sure where their own boundaries are.
• If you can get the proof of the boundaries from City Hall and show it to them, they really should not be able to argue with you.
• you would need proof! How could you be so sure you are not intruding on their property. They probably already know the boundaries of their land...do you?
  
• I would say check it again because im not on your land!
