  • We all are not sure what will happen in the next moment ? .But we shall proceede with long term and short term plans for the welfare of the society as a whole .So we must control the natural resources for the existence of the world at least in the shape for a further long period .Thank you for reminding this on and off .
  • then there will be a big push on to deplete the next resource to keep Hummers and monster SUV%26#039;s going to the coffee shops
  • That is at the current rate of consumption. Population and consumption are growing logarithmically, 170 years is overly generous.
  • Party like its 1999.
  • I agree 170 years is a very conservative estimate. We need more funding for green research initiatives into alternative energy sources and friendly environmental practices. Humanity, needs to implement a massive societal shift away from unsustainable living and fossil fuels, and towards more sustainable earth friendly alternatives. The government squanders billions of dollars on futile wars for fossil fuels, while it could be spending every ones hard earned tax dollars on research initiatives.

  • we hv to look for alternatives before that.
