What is Alaska like? Give me details about what it is like to live in Alaska?

Best Answer

My 5 years in Alaska showed me that if there are powerlines,it%26#039;s pretty much like the lower 48,but colder. If there are NO powerlines you had better have a lot of sled dogs, and be willing to eat one if it came to that.Other than that you HAVE to get there by Alaska State Ferry! A ride of a lifetime! been there, done that!

  • you will not like alaska at all if cant tolerate cold weather but if you like snow then it will be a paradise for you. there are a lot of wolfs in alaska.
  • alaska is cold even in the summer
during the winter it is really dark and brighter than other states in the summer
they have a mount mckenly burger at mcdonalds its the biggest burger that mcdonalds sells

  • It is a beautiful State. Very sparsely populated. Mountainous and very cold much of the year. Lots of thick forests in the southern part. If you don%26#039;t live in a major city (only a couple), then it is very isolated and hard to get things you need sometimes. The people there are very independent and rugged. There are few roads. Lots of unspoiled areas.
