depends on the type of wildlife is it aquatic,avian,mammalian.are you interested in conservation,genetics,endangered species,habitat rehabilitation,wildlife refuge management.

Contact wildlife agencies in your area and ask for advice depending on where/what you want to study. Alot of these places are big on people knowing the regulations/restrictions in place for wildlife, learn all you can about them. In Canada, Ministry of Natural Resources/Ministry of Environment are good places to start. Talk to a conservation officer. Check into privately run wildlife places as well.
