  • There are a lot more species than just %26quot;some stupid birds%26quot; in ANWR. However, the most important point is probably that at our current consumption rate, ANWR only contains about one year%26#039;s worth of oil. Drilling there would not make gas prices go down, but it would disturb a wildlife refuge. There%26#039;s just no point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctic_Refu...
  • hmmm. you and several million other selfish, shortsighted, ignorant north americans. grow up!
  • Wildlife would greatly affect and anwar only has about a year worth of oil and it won%26#039;t be coming to usa but instead, we would be selling it to china.
  • It isn%26#039;t about the wildlife or the environment. The area involved is as large as Europe. There would need to be a few single lane roads, some pipelines and a few hundred drilling rigs. The wildlife simply won%26#039;t be affected.
  • Wow! The misinformation you get here is amazing!

ANWR will provide only one year of oil if we stop bringing in oil from ALL other places. ANWR would be enough oil to keep the Northeast US warm and on the roads for over 64 years.

It%26#039;s not birds, it%26#039;s caribou, and modern drilling techniques do a great job at protecting the environment. We should start drilling today.

The claim that we shouldn%26#039;t drill because we use too much is not logical and indicates flawed thinking.
