Take it to a shipping place. They will reuse it.ie. Fed-Ex Kinko%26#039;s or UPS Store.
And you get a star for asking. 67% 2 Votes

Styrofoam is a category 6 plastic and I only know of my workplace collecting it, through Biffa waste. However, some local councils may take it. 0% 0 Votes -

Check out Freecycle.com. This is another group run by Yahoo, and you can find a group for most areas.
Freecycle allows you to ask the community for things you might need and to give away things you might want to get rid of. I%26#039;ve seen everything from baby clothes to car engines to jars of peanut butter given away on Freecycle. And the best part is, to get rid of something on Freecycle, you have to give it away for free. There%26#039;s no selling or buying in this group.
Go on and check to see if there%26#039;s a group in your area. I give away cardboard boxes from my workplace on it all the time, and I don%26#039;t even have to deliver them; the person receiving picks it up. I%26#039;m sure you%26#039;ll be able to find somebody who%26#039;s moving who needs packing materials. 0% 0 Votes -
Advertise it on craigslist.com. People planning on shipping something or packing up for a move will be delighted to get it, especially if it is free. %26quot;Peanuts%26quot; are more likely to be taken than formed pieces, though.

dear morgan
this is a problem being faced all over. from the information available on the internet certain companies are marketing styrofoam recycling units, but i have not been able to get hold of any firm in india( of course if you are from India). the major problem, evn if you can find someone to recycle,is the quantity being generated by u. transportation cost is prohibitive.
if u happen to find a solution to your problem maybe u would like to share the same with me
thanks 0% 0 Votes
