I live in Texas You guys are losers. Just throw it away and get back to work. Report Abuse The best answer was very good; however, as a Master Gardener, I can assure you that egg shells and other %26quot;browns%26quot; with oil in or on them are NOT acceptable in compost. Report Abuse If you like in a city that has compost available for pick up and egg shells, as well as any yard waste are accepted. Do not think that you can%26#039;t compost if you don%26#039;t have a garden. Also, I disagree, compost reaks. Keep it outside. Report Abuse I rip the pizza box in half the side with the grease gets thrown away and the other get%26#039;s recycled. Or like another person said burn the half you have to throw away. Problem solved! Report Abuse Pizza Boxes are 100% recyclable!! I work for a company that makes them, and there is no reason to not recycle them!! Report Abuse its true that you could recycle it. I mean you can make things out of it thats good right? Report Abuse they are a great addition to any pizza! i cut them up and eat them with my slices of pizza, just eat them Report Abuse Like most said, they can be recycled, you can rinse the box to get any stuck particles off it. I don%26#039;t see a problem with having food on it. They usually throw the cardboard in water to make pulp and the scrape the top of the pulp for... well... everything else that%26#039;s not cardboard. Report Abuse Two compost bins in your kitchen? Honestly, I can imagine the foul smell. Report Abuse You should never recycle ANYTHING except aluminum! Recycling is mostly a scam for people who have a moral vacuum and need to feel better about themselves (and pass judgement on others who don%26#039;t).It is literally bad for the environment! Report Abuse They are not recyclable because they are covered in a compound that makes them water and oil proof. It is a chemical that never breaks down. Also they are covered in cheese. Report Abuse They are not recyclable because the over worked and under paid staff at the recycing plant would lick the oils off the box for a quick yummy energy boost. This licking would slow down the production at the recycling plant. Report Abuse* You must be logged into Answers to add comments. Sign in or Register.

Recyclers don%26#039;t want food remains in the cardboard. It probably attracts insects and vermin. But if you have corregated cardboard, you can pick off any cheese and crumbs, break up the boxes, and hide them in other cardboard to be recycled as the other answerer did.

You can%26#039;t recycle them but you can compost them.

Pizza boxes are already made of at least 8 percent recycled material. Also, pizza boxes absorb a lot of grease which will make the recycling process much harder.
