Your average wind speed is very important, because the energy a wind turbine produces goes up as the third power of wind, so a 12 mph average wind isn%26#039;t 20% better than a 10mph wind, its (1.2)^3 = 1.73 or 73% better!

I have heard that North Dakota would be a perfect place for that. Although the wind only blows 1/2 the time, the other half, it sucks :-) 0% 0 Votes
